This bottle of Maker's Mark is quite unique as we got to pick the types of staves that it had its finishing in. We chose to have a large amount of grooved French oak staves that were designed to bring butterscotch, caramel, and nuttiness - they were successful in imparting those flavors. Outside of that there is a velvety bitter chocolate and some forest floor earthiness. A unique style from an institution of bourbon making.
